Second APAL Progress Meeting paves the way for the second half of the project

On 13th-14th September 2022, the APAL partners met for their annual meeting at the premises of the project coordinator UJV in Řež near Prag, Czech Republic. For the first time since the beginning of the project, an on-site progress meeting was organised in a hybrid form owing to the still persisting precautions due to COVID-19 pandemic.

After a warm welcome made by APAL coordinator Vladislav Pištora, the first meeting day started with presentations and discussions of management matters as well as the scientific progress in the different work packages. A joint dinner concluded the first day with a lovely view over the river Moldau.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to an ongoing discussion of the work within work packages as well as an Exploitation Strategy Workshop held by project partner EURICE. At the end of the meeting day, interested participants were invited to attend an excursion to the UJV hot cells. Meanwhile, the workshop scientific committee held a meeting discussing the preparation of the advanced workshop planned for May, 2023.

After the meeting, the participants highlighted the productive atmosphere and team spirit within the project. The consortium is looking forward to progress with APAL in the second half of the project and to meeting again during the next workshops and meetings.

Thanks a lot, to all participants for their contributions and to UJV Řež for being an amazing host.
